  • Meet & Greet with local Politicians, candidates and leaders in the Democratic Party. Enjoy some light hors d'oeuvres while mingling with some local VIPs as well as your fellow Dems from across the county!
  • Delicious Food and Wine. Indulge in a delectable spread from Cahoots Catering including Caeser and Mixed Green Salad, Rice Pilaf, Fingerling Potatoes, Mediterranean Lasagna, Prosciutto Wrap Pork Tenderloin, Cashew Crusted Salmon, and dinner rolls. Each ticket comes with two glasses of wine from Castoro Cellars. Extra wine by the bottle at club member rates.
  • Silent & Live Auction, Wine Pull and "Guess the number of wine corks" to enter to win a magnum of wine!

Why Your Support Matters:

Even at the local level, running a political campaign can cost tens of thousands of dollars, with many candidates using their own money! The funds raised at “Off to the Races” will go directly to local candidates including the following offices:

  • Paso Robles City Council: District 1 & 2
  • Paso Robles School Board: District 1, 2, & 4
  • San Luis Obispo County Clerk-Recorder
  • San Luis Obispo County Supervisor: District 2 & 4
  • California State Assembly; District 30

Special Guests:

  • Dawn Addis - District 30 CA State Assembly. Dawn has represented portions of Monterey, San Luis Obispo, and Santa Cruz counties in the State Assembly since 2022. She previously served as a local City Councilmember and worked as a public-school teacher. As our State Assemblymember, Dawn is fighting to fully fund schools, expand access to quality healthcare, protect our environment, lower barriers to college, and safeguard our most vulnerable neighbors. 
  • Kris Beal is running for re-election for Paso Robles City Council District 1. Kris moved to Paso Robles with her family as a young girl in 1976. She earned her bachelor’s and master’s degrees at Cal Poly and went on to teach irrigation. She was the executive director of the Vineyard Team, a local non-profit dedicated to sustainable farming. Kris serves the community in various ways including serving at community and non-profit events; community education and outreach; and connecting to the schools through committees and volunteering.  
  • Bill Britton is running for Paso Robles Mayor. Bill served 20 years in the U.S. Air Force as an Electronic Warfare  Officer, managing multi-billion-dollar satellite programs and national  defense operations. After retiring from active duty at the rank of  Lieutenant Colonel, he led major technology and cybersecurity programs. Since 2020, Bill has volunteered with the City of Paso Robles as an  Airport Commissioner, Spaceport Advisor, and is member of the Digital  Corridor and Spaceport Technology Park Working Group. Bill is focused on infrastructure, public safety, and growing our community.
  • Elaina Cano - San Luis Obispo County Clerk-Recorder. Over the past four years, Elaina has focused on modernizing the Clerk-Recorder’s Office, improving transparency, and strengthening public trust—while ensuring elections are conducted securely, accurately, and professionally. Her leadership has delivered measurable results and positioned SLO County to meet the evolving needs of voters and residents.
  • Bob Simoni - District 2 Paso Robles City Council. Bob is a soon to be retired, Financial Systems Administrator who moved to Paso Robles, which has become his forever home. After graduating with an MBA from UCLA, he managed and implemented complex financial and manufacturing projects. He decided to run for City Council because he believes he has the skills and temperament to help make Paso Robles an even better place to live.
  • Craig Marshall - Emcee. Craig has over 30 years of broadcast media and management experience, Craig has served a variety of roles over the years including Morning Show (and other daypart) Host, Operations Manager, Program Director, and Music Director. He owned his own mobile DJ business, working many weddings, corporate events, and more. He has also hosted many podcast on different platforms. A lifelong voter and Democratic supporter, Craig is excited and happy to help the Paso Robles Democratic Club with their fundraising efforts and dedication to the ideals that make our communities and country work for the better.
