Ballots have arrived and the situation with the Governor's race - there being too many Democrats still running - makes it critical that we all vote for one of the two candidates who are tops in the polls. Otherwise, we split our vote and the two Republicans - one being a MAGA guy and the other an Ultra-Maga guy -could end up being the only ones on the ballot in November.

As reported today, May 14th, the two top Democrats remain Tom Steyer and Javier Becerra. Steyer is more of an impassioned left leaning candidate who seems to be ready to push hard for programs and against the Trump policies. Becerra comes off as being much less feisty but very competent and well versed in the machinations of the political and legal institutions. Both will do well for our state. Both will push forward with our priorities, and are good candidates. There are reasons to like the other candidates, but it is important that we all choose one of these two and not split our vote among the others who don't have the numbers to win.
